I’m Andrew Hernandez

5 Years of Teaching Experience

My name is Andrew Hernandez. I am 29 years old and I am a private online math and science tutor. My life growing up was a little difficult and I went through many tumultuous moments. One thing that I always believed in was getting a good education. I have been tutoring for over 5 years now as I started in fall of 2018. During that time I have helped many children and adults become better at mathematics. I know many people despise math, but I’m here to make it easier.

Little More About Me

I am 29 years old and I am a private online math and science tutor. My life growing up was a little difficult and I went through many tumultuous moments. One thing that I always believed in was getting a good education. I did have a rocky start to my own education, however, and, due to personal reasons, was forced to get my GED in high school. I was in my senior year at the time and I received a score on the GED that was in the top 1% of all test takers. I also had a rough time getting through community college. What should’ve been a two-year degree took me almost six, but I persevered and graduated with a 3.8 GPA and with two math degrees, an AS-T in Mathematics and an AA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on Mathematics and Science, both from Mt. San Jacinto College in San Jacinto, California. They are both shown below. I graduated with distinction and was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I also obtained a CRLA Level 1 Tutor Certificate from MSJC in Spring of 2018, which helped me begin my tutoring career. Currently, I am working on applying to a university and am going to major in Computer Science during the next chapter of my life. I have been tutoring for over 5 years now as I started in fall of 2018. During that time I have helped many children and adults become better at mathematics. I know many people despise math, but I’m here to make it easier. I created this website to gain more loyal clients who I can help with any difficulties that they have in math. I’m knowledgeable in all areas of math, including Common Core, Statistics, Algebra, Geometry, and introductory Calculus courses. My favorite math subject to tutor is Algebra because of the many applications it has in the real world. I tutor all levels from 2nd grade to college level for math and I also tutor science up to 10th grade. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn and exceed at anything, it’s just that some may be a little slower at learning than others. These students just need a little extra help, which is OK. Please feel free to contact me regarding any difficulty you are having in your math class, either for yourself or your child! You can contact me at (951) 287-6496 or you can also fill out the contact form and I will contact you.
